Casa Mexican Restaurant in Owenton

No online menus or paper menus to take to call in orders. Not many choices for seafood lovers. Was served white rice instead of Mexican rice and didn't come with beans either. Charged too much for a little "large" to go drink. And my food was over cooked. The restaurant interior is nice and the staff was nice though. Just needs improvement.

The food quality wasn't that good. First, the waitress hardly ever came to our table we had to stop her and ask for whatever we wanted. Second, I asked for cheese dip on my taco and it came on my rice. Third, the taco tasted like a Taco Bell taco not an authentic Mexican taco. Finally, we didn't even get our check we had to go to the register and we got an attitude from the waitress and the lady at the register. I am never coming back here. I don't reccomend eating here.

Love the salsa! The lunch buffet is very affordable and includes almost everything you can get on a lunch menu. I would highly recommend.

Food is good. Service is okay. And here's a tip for the waitresses.....want big tips try being more attentive to your guests.

The restaurant was pretty clean. We only saw two or three employees when we walked in, who were sitting down chatting. Our server took a phone call after taking our drink order. She was on the phone for about five minutes before finally asking another employee to bring us our drinks. Then a third employee took our food order. No one ever introduced themselves or identified who would be taking care of us. There was only one other family eating in there at the time, yet we felt like they were too busy to serve us. Now, about the food...it was sub-par and that's being generous. Everything was swimming in grease and tasted like it had been microwaved. None of our party of four could finish our meals. The prices were entirely too high for the quality of service and food we received. We were terribly disappointed in the whole experience and won't be returning.

Was in town for the Winery. We all decided to go out to dinner. The waiter seemed to be new he just seemed overwhelmed. He was really nice just very overwhelmed we sat for 40 minutes after we ordered drinks waiting to ordered. Finally ordered food didn't take long at all to come out. It was decent food for the area. If in area would go back again. Need more staffing to handle the influx of dinner.

Had a chicken taco salad, meat was seasoned very good but a bit too greasy, maybe drain before serving. Otherwise very good.

Very good food and a large variety of menu selections. I'm usually not big on Mexican restaurants but I very much like this one. Friendly staff and owner who aim to please. I highly recommend this restaurant . :)

Love the food. The people are friendly and go out of the way to check on you and see you get what you need, even when it gets busy. As a Taco Bell lover, I can honestly say that this place puts Taco Bell to shame with its authentic tasting mexican food. Prices are a little higher than some places but they bring out huge portions and it is all made fresh with the best ingrediants, so it balances out. Don't forget to try the cheesecake!

How about ——🌟!!! It’s taken since October 27th to finally find my voice! Let the investigation begin!!! Parents if you have a daughter under the age of 18 PLEASE do not let them work for Mario Chavez! He should be named in the #metoo movement!!! The small talk around Owenton and Frankfort is true!!! When the man drinks He will fondle, grab, and rub his private parts up against young girls!! The best thing I did was quit that night. To the past young girls who have worked there and to the ones still there please come forward and don’t be scared. The fact he is in law enforcement and uses his badge to coward behind with no repercussions is disgusting!!!

Horrible service! The food was just ok. Most of order was messed up. Our server was extremely slow and inattentive.

Staff was very nice and helpful..also friendly!! Food was good...I had the Fajitas with Chicken and Chorizo for lunch, my friend had the Green Chicken Burrito....both were good..the Green Chicken was supposed to be spicy but we didn't think it was...fajitas are hard to mess up..was going to get the lunch buffet..but it looked as though it had been there for awhile...will return and try other stuff.

Very Impressed!! Hidden Gem! Owner and waiter and bus girl all very nice and polite. Taco salad and spicy burrito very good. Servings good size. Owner checked on us several times as well as our server even though they were pretty busy. Definitely will go back and recommend to others

Great food! Good atmosphere. They've had live music a few times but I'm not sure if that's a regular thing. Staff is always super polite and ready to help. They do take out orders too!
